why do I get the feeling…
that PK’s style is the epitome that PMD-e artists are supposed to reach?

I’ve noticed this in the group. A lot of people seem to either join using a very paintery style or will alter their style to fit in. Do I think this is something they should do? Not necessarily.
I’m not sure why they do this, it might partly be cause they think people will like it more, get them a better score in judging or it will make them popular in the group. It might also be that they are just trying different styles to test out their own art, it’s kinda hard to tell with some.
Heck maybe part of it is just to try and fit in and think that by replicating a similar style to the leader is the best road to go. At this point I think new people might be quite intimidated in joining the group for how big it is, how many very talented artists are in it, and how indepth the plot is getting (I know if I was just trying to join now I would probably not just cause of being scared of joining a group that’s been around for a year already).
I don’t think those who run the group encourage this kinda thing at all, but I do notice people doing it.

Well seems I have another blog now for a different PMD-E team. This one, unlike Tao Tree, is just my own team and now a colab ask blog with friends. I’ve already had a lot of fun drawing these characters and I hope to continue with it. ^^

Just WIPs of stuff I’m doing for M6. This time of a side team, Dusk Star. For their mission I’m just doing two images instead of a while comic, mainly cause trying to do more then one comic would be… difficult.

Three days and six pages sketched. If I keep this up it will be amazing. I don’t know how long this mission will be at this point… I have… a couple things I have to fit in, I still have to decide how I want the mission to end (I have two choises) and I still need to plan out a cover…
At least we finally get to the part where Silver Fang chooses their mission.

One more page to post tonight. I’m… really gonna have to censor Eva on this page in the final version for DA. While she normally doesn’t swear this much, her house was destroyed so she’s just letting loose at the moment. And she’s never sworn on anything I’ve posted on DA for the simple fact I don’t know if I’d get in trouble for it. ^^;;;;

Alright, so I’ve started sketching up pages for Mission Six in PMD-E. It’s… been quite a while since I’ve done a solo mission. I belive it was M3. But I’m trying out a couple new things with this. First of all, their pages not strips, it’s odd for me but I think having a consistant size will keep everything more focused on the story. Second is I’m altering the layout a bit, all my comics before now have had the banner at the top of every new page and… there’s really no reason for it I realize.
I might do a cover, but I just don’t know what it will look like yet. And like before with M3, I’m planning to sketch out every page first. It seems to work better for me then completing one page then move on from scratch to the next. Maybe by the time all the pages are sketched I’ll have an idea about cover too.
I’ll be posting some page sketches as I go, some won’t be cause of spoilers or that they might change between the sketch and inking. But these first three pages I’m quite happy with. XP Showing a bit of where Dusty and Eva grew up, as well as their first meeting.
