• Life Update + Christmas

Hey everyone, hope you all had a fun christmas/holiday/whatever you do this time of year. I know I enjoyed mine for the most part. I got LoZ: Skyward Sword, which is SO MUCH FUN! Finished the first temple, the first boss was a pain to fight. Just not use to the controls yet I guess. I got Suburband Knights on DVD from Wolf which is EPIC! Also got Harry Potter, POTC and Green Lantern movies. So yes, very good christmas.

I also lucked out cause a couple days later I was at Walmart and they were selling the complete serise of Firefly for 10 bucks! It was too big of a bargan to pass up so now I finally have Firefly.

On boxing day I got to hand out with Skitz and Wolf, also saw Confusedquark, Drystan and Kholdstare. Would have been nice to see Aali too (and give her her present) but she was busy and smart enough to the hell hole known as my home town. So a note to Aali, I need to give you your present sooner or later! Aka we need to give eachother our gives before June this year.

Also, I got that Holter ECG done… bah that thing was annoying and now I have to wait for a few weeks for the results. So as of right now no more doctor appointments even if I have to get that scan and appointment with the neurologist in the new year.

  • Whoot!

So today I went in to see if I could get the laser eye surgery. Was routine enough, they checked to make sure the prescription I currently had for my eyes was accurate, scanned my eyes, checked to make sure my eyes were healthy and stuff. All good there. It was… weird getting my eyes dialated though. Turns out my eyes were JUST bad enough sight wise that they had to be dialated sooo ya.

Everything went good though and it was confirmed that I could get the surgery done!! Price wise it was a lot cheaper then expected for both of my eyes. o-o I really thought the price would be a lot more. And with the financing you can do it works out amazingly well. Not only that but the type of surgery that works best for my eyes is a life time guarentee. Meaning that while I have a 25% chance of regression, if my eyes ever get bad again anytime in my LIFE that I would need prescriptions again, I can get a touchup done for free. Only thing I might need is when I’m in my 40s to 50s I will probably need reading glasses. But thats not bad at all!

So yesh! Dec. 11th I’ll be going in to get this done! Its a one day thing, though for atleast the first day if not the first two days after I won’t be able to get on the computer of course. I’ll have to go to checkups for the first while as well but thats a good thing. So yesh, while I’m scared out of my mind at this, I’m also very excited. I could have gotten in for like… early November… but I really didn’t want to get this done like a week and a half before going to Mexico… If I had gotten like a month atleast between the surgery and Mexico I would have taken it. But a week and a half it too short of time.

Only sad thing was, my mom came too to see if she could get the surgery done. And she can’t. >.<; Turns out that you can only get it done if your eyes are above -12 or something… and my mom’s are a -13.5. Yes, my mom’s eyes are VERY BAD. >.<; My eyes are only at a -5 in my left eye and a -4.5 in my right… Mom was really upset about that and I feel bad for her. Hopefully in a couple years though the surgery will get better. Since my mom’s eyes are only a little worse then they can work with right now in a few years she might be given the okay.
